Flathead County has many wonderful historical sites that we hope you will take time to explore and enjoy. Pictured to the right is the Belly River Ranger Station located in Glacier National Park is is part of the Belly River Ranger Station Historic District. The log structure was built in 1912 and is one of the oldest ranger stations in the area. It is now being used as a barn. Near the ranger station is a a log cabin, built in 1928, which was used as a fire cache, housing fire-fighting tools.
