Tinity Luthern Church

Our thanks to Trinity Luthern Church for allowing us to place their old records online for genealogical research.  We are so grateful for their willingness to help us help you.

The Trinity Lutheran church was first organized in 1895.  Signing the original constitution were Theodore Koenig, Carl Schroeder, William Fehlerg, Fred Seiffert, August Fehlberg, A Benkendorff, H Sorensen, John Koenig, F Engelke, Henry Petermann and Carl Ruppel.  In 1899 the congregation built it's first church, with the members doing most of the work.  his church was sued for over 50 years.  Pastor R Zimmerman of Great Falls Served after Pastor Zemke for one year.  In 1904 a new parsonage was built next to the church.  In 1910 a school was built.  Paul Gabbert was installed as the first resident teacher.  Paul Beck was teacher from 1913-1918, when he was called to service in the army.  The school was discontinued until 1923 when Mr F Sievers was installed.  He served one year, after which the school was permanently closed. 
In 1950, after 15 years of planning, a new church was begun.  The first service was in the basement of he new building on May 6, 1951.
Trinity Lutheran Church has baptismal, confirmation, marriage and death records dating from 1895.
