To the right is the extracted listing of individuals who acquired federal land in what is now Flathead County. The land may have been obtained through homesteading or by a cash purchase. Notice of Publication- Newspapers
In the late 1800's and early 1900's newspapers published land claims. The notice includes the name of the land claimant, the date filed and names of witnesses as to his residence and cultivation of the landThe following land claims were extracted from both the Demerville's Interlake, and the Kalispell Interlake and are organized first by date published and then by name. Just click on the link and you will be able to see the original published notice.
